Katarzyna Binder-Sony is an internationally experienced intellectual property lawyer with nearly two decades of practice across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and Asia. She is the Founder of IP Meridian, a boutique intellectual property law firm in Europe dedicated to strategic intellectual property protection, brand development, and global IP portfolio management.

Leadership Experience
Prior to founding IP Meridian, Katarzyna held senior leadership roles at a global intellectual property law firm, where she served as Head of European Operations and Head of the IP Department, supervising international legal teams and advising clients on global brand protection strategies.
Her work combined legal expertise with strategic business insight, supporting companies expanding into new markets and navigating complex cross-border IP environments.
Professional Qualifications
Katarzyna is qualified as an English and Welsh Solicitor and a Polish Patent and Trademark Attorney, and she is also a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney. She holds a Master of Laws from Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw and completed her LLB (Hons.) and LPC at the University of Law in London.
She has also completed postgraduate studies in Law of New Technologies, focusing on emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, and digital innovation.

Having studied and worked internationally—including in Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, and India—Katarzyna brings a strong cross-border perspective to her practice.
She works fluently in Polish, English, and German, and communicates in Spanish.
